Abt unveiled the first photos with its new customization program for the recently launched Audi A3 Convertible. According to the manufacturer the engineers are still working at the body kit because you can easily see that the car features no spoilers at all.
Still, we have the data about the performance of the engines: the 1.8 TFSI engine will develop 200 hp, from 160 hp, while the 2.0 TFSI engine will be capable to develop 240 hp. Also, the tuning company will offer a “Power S” kit which increases the power for the 1.8 TFSI engine from 200 to 240 hp and for the 2.0 TFSI engine from 240 to 270 hp. More details when the official data will be released.
Honda announced the launch of a new low-emission, lightweight sports study model at the British International Motor Show later this month. Called OSM (for Open Study Model, the concept was designed by Honda’s R&D facility in Offenbach, Germany.
Sitting on sporty six-spoke alloy wheels, the OSM has a slippery, aerodynamic exterior to minimize drag. A wide, sloping rear end incorporates a narrow rear light strip, which wraps around the rump of the car. At the front, a gaping front grille sits between angular headlights that stretch from nose of the bonnet to the top of the wheel arches.
There are no plans for the concept to enter production at the moment.
Salicar Cars will unveil tomorrow the Salica GT Convertible, a unique, high performance sports car that is fit for purpose.
The Salica GT has been designed and hand built in England. With no electronic driver aids to interfere with your driving experience (except for optional traction control and ABS systems), you can enjoy the vehicle’s exceptional handling dynamics. The race inspired design of the three part chassis allows for ease of component change and maintenance.
Two engine options are available. You can choose from a normally aspirated 3.5 litre v6 developing 400 bhp or a twin turbo 3.5 litre v6 developing a conservative 500 bhp.
It makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 3.2 seconds and the 0 to 100 mph sprint in 7.8 seconds. Top speed is 190 mph.
One of the most powerful and exclusive cars on earth, the Continental GT will receive a new restyling kit from the well known tuning house, Wald International. They are “guilty” with quite some styling and performance kits for almost every major luxury car brand on the market.
The new kit touched by Wald gives a more aggressive look to the Continental GT by adding larger and more angular front intakes with separate brake ducts and a lower splitter. A slightly wider side-sill is added to the rear side skirts which features Wald’s signature, shark-gill extractor vents behind the rear wheels. Aside from the spoiler at the back of the car, the kit builds on the Continental GT’s basic look, adding aggressive styling to match the powerful engine under the hood. The new kit will be launched later this year.
At the end of June we first reported about a GTA version for the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. Today AutoCar brings more diesel about the future version that will be launched in 2010, the year when the Italian company celebrates its centenary.
The 8C GTA will be limited to only 100 units. It will have a weight of almost 1450kg - that’s 150kg lighter than a standard 8C. The engine from the standard version will be boosted to 500 hp.

We find the idea annoying but appreciate the work that has gone into it. The carvings and designs on the surface are brilliant and would have taken weeks to complete by an extremely set of talented and skilled individuals. The polished surface looks nice and should have masked the rear-view mirrors entirely, eliminating the need for a reflective glass and related electronics for adjustments, but maybe next time?!

LusoMotors, famous for the design of the modern-day Ferrari Dino, is now presenting the mid-engined LM23, a model of which design is inspired from the Lotus 23b. But the new LM 23 means more track racing than looks. The new reshaped model features a space frame chassis made of steel tubing, with double skin aluminum alloy sheets and the outerskin is made of fiberglass and carbon fiber elements.
Those who wish to buy the car can choose from a variety of car or motorcycle engines all of which deliver power to the rear wheels. The company’s engineers are currently trying a 150hp 1.0l unit from a Honda CBR1000 with a 6 speed sequential gearbox. They could fit also a turbocharged Subaru boxer engine to the new LM23. With a special body kit, the standard 4WD setup is converted into a 2WD gearbox delivering power to the rear wheels. The price for a complete kit excluded the engine starts from from €15,000 (11,500 GBP or $23,600).
As we are used to, Project Kahn unveiled another masterpiece based on the Bentley Continental GT, called the GTS ”Black Edition”. The car features a re-designed front bumper, new side sills and a rear boot spoiler. At the interior the vehicle features a leather upgrade, gloss piano fascia panels and a steering wheels featuring the same gloss piano finish or, at customer’s choice, a carbon fiber finish.
MG announced prices for the TF LE500: 16,399 pounds (20,700 euros). Sales will begin in September. The price of the two-seater sports car will include a body-colored hardtop, air conditioning and parking sensors.
MG will also introduce an entry-level TF that will substantially undercut the Mazda’s price.
