Jaguar presented this week-end at the Goodwood Festival of Speed the 2010 XF-R. The XF-R is powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 500 hp.
The sports sedan has had adjustments to the suspension and brakes to match the increased power and sportivity of the XF-R. Optically we see the new 20″ inch all-black wheels, black front grill and new hood with two double air vents.
We presume the XF-R will make its world debut this month at the British Auto Show, so stay tuned!

Jaguar is working on a more powerful version of the sporty XF sedan: the XF-R that set to be launched in 2009. It will compete with models like BMW M5, Audi RS6 and Mercedes E63 AMG.
The latest spy shots caught a prototype that runs a 4997cc V8 – the new-generation engine that will be rolled out across Jag/Land Rover, with direct injection and the latest tech to trim the naughty numbers (g/km and mpg) and boost those desirable digits (bhp and lb ft).
The XF-R will be a supercharged model, so the output will be around 500bhp.
The XF-R has a noticeably different snout, as witnessed by the larger air intakes and bonnet scoops, but the rest of the front of the car is admirably restrained. The side profile is differentiated by stout side sills.
If you’re looking at the rear of the XF-R (and let’s face it, most of us will be), you’ll be following a subtle lip spoiler on the bootlid, chunky quad pipes and probably a discrete diffuser.
2009 Jaguar XF
Arden, the well-known British tuning company unveiled its new tuning kit for the recently launched Jaguar XF. Dubbed AJ 21, the new car will feature a complete new front apron in the Arden style, front stainless steel grill manufactured by hand, new side skirts, a rear spoiler, rear air diffuser with integrated exhaust system.
21 inch alloy wheels are also available, as well as larger air vents for perfect cooling of the engine and brake system. Arden re-programmed the two engines, 2.7 liter V6 Turbodiesel and 4.2 liter gasoline V8 Supercharger, which now develop up to 500 hp for the supercharged V8.

Although, according to some people the Jaguar XF doesn’t need any customization the German tuner Loder1899 thought the opposite and presented their tuning kit for the XF. The body styling kit includes an elegant front spoiler, side skirts, an extravagant rear spoiler and a rear air diffuser which includes a double exhaust system. The vehicle was also lowered by 35 mm with the help of the Loder1899 suspension kit in order to provide better handling without modifying the comfort.
The engine of the car also received a power increase from 207 hp to 249 hp with the help of ECU tweaking. To complete this stylish kit Loder1899 added some 19” alloy wheels which give the car a better look and also a plus of sportivity.
H&R keeps working hard on new products, after the BMW 1 they now release of special springs for the recently launched Jaguar XF. The new suspension kit allows the car to be lower by 35 mm which improves the looks but also delivers better handling for the British sedan. Although the car received this special kit the well-known comfort of the car was not lost in order to keep the tradition of the British manufacturer.
The launch of the new XF was a real success for Jaguar: the first real sports sedan launched by the company caught everyone’s attention starting the very first day.
The XF’s hard points come from the S-Type, which it replaces. But Jaguar is using the V-8 engines, suspension, subframes, six-speed transmission, propeller shaft and differential from the upmarket XJ sedan and XK sports car.
Despite all the parts scrounging, the XF has little in common with the rest of the Jaguar lineup or its predecessor. This could be the car that carries Jaguar into the modern age and out of the wood-and-leather ghetto.
The wheelbase is the same as the S-Type, but the XF is longer and skinnier. Unlike the elegant aluminum structure of the XJ and XK, the XF has a steel shell.
The 4.2-liter V-8 is shared with the rest of the lineup but is slightly retuned for different driving styles. The six-speed automatic transmission from ZF Friedrichshafen is the same as in the other Jags, but gear shifts occur 15 percent faster in the XF.
The base XF’s estimated 0-to-60 time is 6.2 seconds, with a sub-15-second quarter-mile time.

Although Arden released only one image of its AJ 21 tuning kit based on the Jaguar XF luxury sedan, we can tell that the German tuner is the first one to do a serious job with the XF (the first one was actually Galpin, but their work is not that impressive!).
The tuning kit includes a new front bumper, a new mesh grille, custom ‘leaping-cat’ hood ornament, LED daytime running lights, aero side mirrors and a pair of sporty side sills.
Even if Arden did not release any details about the technical improvements, we can expects to see under the bonnet a 4.5 liter supercharged V8 engine that delivers 480 hp (same used in the AJ20 Jaguar XKR).
Jaguar will unveil the XF-C Coupe Concept at the 2008 Beijing Auto Show on April 20. The XF-c Coupe is a preview of the coupe version of the 2009 XF sedan.
Based on the new XF sedan, the XF-C is powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that develops more than 500 Hp.

Galpin is offering 22-inch wheels, color-matched Forgiato wheels, smoked tail lamps and "blacked-out" window trim. No big changes made on the interior or under the hood!
Jaguar received 10.000 orders for the new XF luxury sedan; 3000 coming from USA. Jaguar executives say they released the figures to show the impact of the XF even without advertising or cars available to test drive.
The company put together a 21-city road show with a few demo XFs in tow, training entire dealerships at once. Dealerships then conducted events for loyal customers and luxury intenders.
The United Kingdom, Europe and North America will all begin selling the XF on March 10. The simultaneous launch is a first for Jaguar. It used to do regional rollouts, with the United States getting cars up to six months after Europe. But Jaguar has proved equal to the task, says Mike O’Driscoll, managing director of Jaguar Cars Ltd.
The new XF will be available in the US with a choice of two engines – a 4.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 and a 4.2-liter supercharged V8. In naturally-aspirated form, the XF develops 300bhp and 310 lb.-ft. of torque. The supercharged version uses a highly efficient rotor-type supercharger that develops 420bhp and 408 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines combine effortless performance, unrivalled character, an impeccable pedigree, and have a classic Jaguar blend of power and refinement.
