In order to celebrate their 20th Anniversary, Mosler revealed a new limited edition, based on the MT900 GTR. The 20th anniversary edition, called MT900 GTR XX is ready to race and performs final testing in Florida!
The "XX" in the modell name is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Mosler Automotive and is standing for "eXXtreme" performance. The car is made of advanced composite carbon fiber and Kevlar. On the interior it features air condition, electric windows and audio system. Based on the MT900 GTR the "XX" spec packs up to 620 hp.
The weight loss program further unburdens the 620-hp 7.0L Corvette LS7 V8 to bring the sprint to 100km/h (62mph) down to three seconds flat, and 200km/h (124mph) down to 8.7 seconds. MT900 GTR XX can hit a top speed of 211 mph.
With the use of a MOVIT Ceramic brake, KW suspension, Carbon seats from Recaro and a Carbon clutch, Mosler Deutschland is heading for another weight reduction of 110-130lbs resulting in a total weight of 2300lbs!
The supercar is only available in Europe.

Pagani revealed today the official informations about 2009 Zonda Cinque. It will be limited to only 5 units, each priced at €800,000 (or $1,246,599 USD).
The Zonda Cinque will be powered by a detuned version of the 7.3L V12 engine to produce 678-hp with a peak torque of 575 lb-ft. The engine is mated to a Cima sequential 6-speed gearbox. The 0 to 60 mph sprint is made in 3.4 seconds, and the 0 to 124 mph in 9.6 seconds.
The street legal version of the Zonda R features ABS by Bosch, traction control and carbon-ceramic self ventilated Brembo brakes - front 380×34mm 6 piston calipers and rear 380×34mm 4 piston calipers.

Ferrari revealed today the first images and official details of the 2009 California, the latest addition to the new generation of Ferraris launched in 2004 with the 612 Scaglietti and added to more recently with the 430 Scuderia.
The California will be powered by a new V8 engine mounted for the first time in the marque’s history in the mid-front position. The engine develops 460 CV at 7,500 rpm with a torque curve that enhances vehicle dynamics and provides maximum driving pleasure which is typical for Ferrari.
As per the traditional Ferrari transaxle layout, the engine, which allows the Ferrari California to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4.0 seconds, will be coupled to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission that boosts the car’s performance while enhancing the driving pleasure, improves ride comfort and reduces fuel consumption and emissions (c.310 g/km CO2).
California will make its world debut this autumn at the Paris Motor Show, but more details will be unveiled in the upcoming weeks.

Hamann, the well-known German tuning company unveiled its latest tuning programme for the Bmw M3. In order to increase the power on the V8 engine, Hamann choosed to add first 20 hp and if the customers want to, the second level of tuning can offer 35 hp. In the first level the car is capable to reach 300 km/h while the second level can offer a top speed of 320km/h.
At the exterior, the tuner offers a sportive-dynamic front spoiler, rear skirt and spoiler, side skirts and the shapely roof spoiler. According to the manufacturer all the parts are offerred at a price starting from 2,400 euros.

Hofele, the innovative company in the product-range of car-accessories especially for German manufacturers like Audi and VW, recently unveiled the Hofele-Design-Edition kit for the Golf GTI.
Using only high-tech accessories and super light materials developed in order to define the elegance of the Hofele Brand the Golf GTI kit features a front bumper with 2 big air intakes, sideskirts fitted as well with two air intakes, but also a rear apron to use with sports muffler.
To increase the power of the vehicle Hofele also used 4 tube sports muffler. Featuring four oval tail pipes the exhaust system is suitable for the well-known 2.0 FSI Turbo engine but, according to the manufacture, this is possible only mounted in combination with the rear apron.
This year Chevrolet celebrate its 19th time as official pace car with the Corvette. And as Chevy is campaigning full tilt about Ethanol, they have made a special concept Corvette pace car. This Corvette Z06 Ethanol will not be sold to the public and it will remain a concept. It feature an amazing color changing paint that range from green to blue with yellow highlights. The effect is similar to the Dupont ’miracle paint’ seen in the past. But here the paint color is much brighter than the older dark purple to dark blue effect.
This car will be driven by Emerson Fittipaldi during the 2008 Indy 500 race.
Two other Corvette Indy500 Pace car will be present at the event. A coupe version will cover the first 100th caution laps and a convertible version will cover the other 100th laps. Both the coupe and convertible run on regular gas and they will be available for sale.

Although the Japanese automaker hoped that their new Nissan GT-R will remain as previously built and not be modified, the „Godzilla” raised the interest of some tuners like Amuse and Mines who recently set new lap records on the Tsukuba Circuit in Japan.
Today, another tuner revealed its tuning program for the GT-R. Garage Defend, a well-known tuner unveiled their kit for the new Nissan. This kit contains custom carbon-fiber canards, which according to the manufacturer are fated to improve cornering stability and braking performance, a carbon-fiber grille replacement and maybe the most visible feature, the Voltex GT wing which helps improve the downforce of the car.

BMW Serie 1 tii concept
In a recent interview, Bmw chief Norbert Reithofer unveiled the fact that the Bavarian manufacturer’s tii models are on their way. The tii models are based on the Concept 1-Series tii that was unveiled last year at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. The concept points out the philosophy Bmw develops: performance kits for the 1-Series coupe and hatchback, an aero package, carbon fiber details, fatter wheels and tyres, sports and instruments.
Bmw plans to apply the tii badge on other models such as the facelifted 3-Series. Expect M3 brake calipers, 19in wheels, sports suspension and a new twin-clutch transmission. Yummi !
Saleen unveiled today at the New York Auto Show the S5S Raptor Concept. According to the company the S5S Raptor could enter the market in as little as two years, and should it go forward, it would carry a base price of approximately $185,000.
The Raptor is a two seat mid-engine super car that competes in size and style with core offerings from the most notable of Italian exotic car makes, but with a segment leading 650hp and 630 lb-ft of torque provided by a Saleen 5.0L Supercharged Engine - the source of the S5S designation. Unlike its competitors, the Raptor is designed to digest cellulosic ethanol. This is the same ethanol formula, states Wilbur, that is the official fuel of the 2008 American Le Mans Race Series and the IRL.
The Raptor’s hand-built 5.0L cubic inch engine with its patented twin-screw supercharger delivers its 650 horses at 6300 rpm and hits max torque at just 4400 RPM. This power sits on call beneath the knob of a close ratio 6-speed manual, or optional paddle shifting sequential gearbox. It’s a combination that send Raptor’s rigid aluminum chassis screaming to a top speed of over 200 mph.

Just as the Ford GT becomes a legend in its own time, Avro Motor Cars, the Brooklands-based supercar specialist, has joined forces with Roush Technologies in the UK to create a further strictly limited edition of the car. The Avro 720 Mirage special edition will be limited to just 10 cars – the first of which has just been rolled out of Roush’s Technical Centre in Brentwood, Essex.
Avro engineers have applied a custom calibration package to the car, to extract a delivered, mean 720bhp at 6950rpm and a massive 627lb.ft. of torque at 4800rpm. The car is also derestricted, which gives a top speed capability in excess of 220mph.
Finished in vibrant Arancia Metallica (Italian Metallic Orange) with semi-matt black details and wheels – and exclusive sill plates and side decals, the 720 Mirage incorporates a significant range of engine and mechanical upgrades. Changes in appearance include the deletion of the rear bumper – partly to save weight – and each car will carry an exclusive numbered Avro plaque on the centre tunnel.
