Audi has lifted the veil on the 2009 A4. The new vehicle features a very big list with innovative technologies, an improved suspension, a new-generation MMI control system as well as cutting fuel consumption with over 15%.
The new design of the car consists in a new single-frame grill, bumpers, air vents and fog lights, new LED daytime running lights, a new gentle lip on the trunk, integrated chrome strip on the bumper, broad diffuser and straight exhaust pipes are part and partial of the revamped rear end”. Also, the car comes with 13 exterior colors to choose from, including five new ones.
Like most Audis, the interior of the car its clean and elegant, with new higher-resolution graphics for the instrument panels, with new materials like the Valcona leather available for the sport seats and integrated headrest system reduces the danger of whiplash.
Under the hood, the new Audi received engines like the 2.0 TFSI, a 125 kW (170 hp), two new 2.8-liter FSI engines: the 140 kW (190 hp) or the 162 kW (220 hp), 3.0 TFSI with 213 kW (290 hp) and the astonishing 4.2 FSI, a 257 kW (350 hp) V8 engine. Pricing starts at 34,200 Euros or $50,985 for the A6 2.0 TFSI sedan.

The RS6 was already unveiled in the Avant version, but the sedan will feature new rear lights. Audi will put in the RS6 Sedan the well-known lights from the A4-Facelift.
Under the hood there will be the same V10 engine with FSI direct injection and twin turbochargers from the RS6 Avant version that will develop 580 hp.
2008 Audi RS6 Avant
Audi will unveil the facelift version of the Audi A6 Avant this autumn at the Paris Motor Show. There are no big changes regarding the design: a new front end with a single frame grille and a cleaner front bumper next to a squared-out bumper at the rear.
Audi will keep the current engine line-u, but will also add a 290hp supercharged V6.
This will be the final redesigned version until 2011 when Audi will unveil the next-generation A6.
We were reporting yesterday that Audi will launch 15 new models by 2011. One of those 15 is the future generation A6 that will be unveiled in 2010. It will come to compete with the next generation BMW 5-series and Mercedes E-class.
The 2010 A6 will feature a multi-material space frame in order to improve handling, economy and emissions in the process. It’s body architecture will be inspired by the new TT. It will be made of aluminum, but there are steel and foam reinforcements where necessary. In addition, Audi is developing lightweight front and rear sub frames which are integral parts of the compact but strong modular nose and tail structures.
The second-generation ASF system will be introduced top-down, starting with the next A6 and A8, along with the new A7. Audi will struggle to use the high-tech solution on its smaller cars, but engineers are examining how alloys can be used on the Mk2 A3 and A1.
The engine line-up will include the following power choices: 2.8 V6 FSI, 190bhp, 2.8 V6 FSI, 224bhp, 3.2 V6 FSI, 265bhp, 4.2 V8 FSI, 350bhp, 5.2 V10 FSI, 420bhp (S6), 5.0 V10 FSI Biturbo, 580bhp (RS7) and two diesel engines: 2.7 V6 TDI, 185bhp and 3.0 V6 TDI, 238bhp.
Auto Motor Und Sport voted four Audi models as best in their class. The Audi R8 won the title of thw best sports car, the A4 was voted best in the sedan class, the A3 compact model came top of its class for the fourth time and Audi A6 was the winner once again among midsize luxury cars.
"The reader poll is an important indicator for us. And Audi’s success with ams readers shows us that we’ve got the right products,” said Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, upon being presented with the commendation. “At the same time, the great results are an incentive for the entire team."
